Annual
Outcomes Assessment Reports are required for all
OSU
degree programs by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher
Education and are used in accreditation reviews
by
the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central
Association.
2007-08
Annual outcomes assessment reports are due June
6, 2008 and should be submitted
as an email attachment to
the office of University Assessment and Testing
(Pam Bowers or Kyla Trammell).
Annual reports should be written using the guidelines provided here in Microsoft Word format (save to a local drive):

to Include. Annual assessment reports must
include: |

Name of the degree program(s) assessed. |
| 2. Methods used to evaluate student achievement of the expected
learning outcomes for the degree program(s). |
| 3. Numbers of individuals assessed (in each method). |
| |
4. Results or
findings from the assessments and how
the results are interpreted relative to the program's
expected student outcomes. |

5. Uses of
assessment results -
specific examples of how assessment results have
been or will be acted on or used for program development. |

Check
to ensure that the annual report is consistent
with the assessment PLAN. Annual assessment
reports should reflect the faculty's commitment
to implementing the assessment plan for
their degree program(s).

- Briefly
summarize results from each assessment method
AND describe how these results were interpreted
relative to the program's expected student
outcomes.
Link the assessment findings to the expected
student outcomes.

- Provide
examples of how faculty have used assessment
information to modify or develop the curriculum,
course content, teaching, or services to improve
student learning in the program.

- Describe
how assessment information is shared with faculty
members and integrated into curriculum planning
in the program.
|
Report
Length. Annual
reports are typically 2 to 8 pages long but may
be longer if needed. If the report exceeds 10 pages,
provide an executive summary of the report.
Submit
the report as an email attachment to allow electronic compilation of all reports and
submission to the OSRHE (pam.bowers@okstate.edu or
kyla.trammell@okstate.edu).
Alumni
Survey Information. Programs that participate in
alumni surveys coordinated by the Office of University
Assessment should include the alumni survey as an assessment
method and should include alumni survey information
in the 'Results' and 'Uses of Results' sections of their
annual assessment reports.
