Funds in assessment accounts are not automatically carried forward from one fiscal year to the next. When preparing an annual budget request, the amount requested should reflect the total amount needed to carry out the planned assessment activities. Funds will be transferred to the academic program in the amount of the difference between the approved amount and the amount already in the account. If no budget request is submitted, or if the request is not approved, any remaining funds in the program's assessment account will be recovered by the University Assessment and Testing Office.
