The office of University Assessment coordinates assessment activity at OSU and ensures that the University complies with the assessment requirements of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

Working closely with the Provost and Faculty Assessment Council, the MISSION of the office of University Assessment is to:

• Provide information and funding to faculty members to evaluate student achievement of the educational outcomes of their degree program(s),

• Conduct and report on surveys to evaluate student and alumni perceptions of their educational experiences at OSU and provide this information to academic units for program outcomes assessment,

• Work closely with the Faculty General Education Assessment Committee to develop and implement assessment of General Education,

• Coordinate and report on entry-level assessment with assistance from Institutional Research, the Admissions Office, and the Testing Center,

• Conduct and provide funding for special assessment projects aimed at evaluating effectiveness of academic and student programs or aimed at specific, current concerns of the institution, and

• Provide assessment information to faculty members and campus leaders for use in evaluating and developing student programs and services.
