The
Assessment Council regularly provides feedback to
academic units about their outcomes assessment programs
so that faculty members may improve their assessment
processes. Outcomes Assessment Program Reviews are
scheduled on a rotating basis so that each academic
unit is reviewed every one year in advance of the program's participation in Academic Program Review. The reviews focus
on these key areas:
- Has
the academic unit articulated the student learning
outcomes for their degree program(s)?
- How
has the academic unit evaluated the extent to which
students achieve those outcomes? (i.e., what assessment
methods were used and what were the findings?)
- How
does the academic unit use this information for
program development?
