Every OSU degree program must have a written assessment plan filed with the Office of University Assessment. The assessment plan identifies expected student learning outcomes for the degree program(s) and the methods used to evaluate student achievement of those outcomes (what is being assessed and how). A good plan also includes a timeline and information about how the results will be used.

Academic units must submit annual reports that describe the program outcomes assessments that have been conducted in the previous year and how the information resulting from has been used.
