The LSAT is a required exam for admission to 186 law schools in the U.S., and
helps them to make their admission decisions by providing a standard measure
of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that the schools can then use
as factors in assessing their applicants. Registration is $108, and there is an additional $54 charge for registering
late. All scheduling and pricing is determined by LSAT, so please check with
them for specific dates and fees.
It is a half-day standardized test designed to measure some of the skills that
are considered essential in order to succeed in law school:
- Reading Comprehension
- Organization and Logic
- Critical Thinking
- Analytical Thinking and
Reasoning
There are five 35-minute sections
of multiple-choice questions, and one 30-minute writing section.
The scores are on a scale of 120-180
with 180 being the highest possible score.
