The Miller Analogies Test is a high-level analytic ability test requiring
you solve problems that are stated as analogies. It is intended to assess
an individual’s
ability to recognize relationships between ideas, fluency in the English
language, and general knowledge of literature, philosophy, history,
science,
math, and the fine arts. Most of the analogies on the MAT are verbal, but a
few are quantitative. The exam lasts 60 minutes and includes 120 partial analogies.
The MAT exam is $70 and is available
at the following times:

Please note that all prices
and schedules are always subject to change, so please check with the
office when you schedule your exam.
Important Information
- Be sure to be on time –
the test starts promptly and latecomers will not be admitted.
- Bring two forms of I.D. –
one photo I.D., such as a driver’s license or student I.D., with signature,
and any other form of I.D., such as a Social
Security card or birth certificate.
- You may not bring calculators
(including watches with built-in calculators), books, papers, or any reference
materials into the test.
- You may not ask questions once
testing has begun; please ask any questions you may have before the test starts.
- There is no intermission in the
test time. No one is allowed to
leave before the scheduled end time (except in the case of an emergency).
- Any examinee caught giving or
receiving assistance will be required to immediately turn in their testing
materials and leave the test. The test will not be scored, and the fees
will not be refunded.
- We only administer the computer-based version of the exam.
- Unofficial scores are available immediately following the test. Official scores will be mailed to you from the Psychological Corporation within 10-15 business days after the testing date.
