Due to the differing nature of proctored
exams, the following policies have been established by
the OSU Testing Center to ensure the best service for our
students and other patrons. Please check the appropriate
policy below.
Paper-based exams (for OSU Instructors)

OSU instructors who wish to allow their students to take paper-based
exams at the OSU Testing Center should drop off or mail
the exam to our center with the Proctored
Exam Cover Sheet at the following address at least 24 hours before
the scheduled exam time:

Exams may be picked up by the course instructor
or their designated representative with a valid photo
ID card, or they can be returned to a campus location
by a Testing Center staff member. If delivery is requested,
please allow up to 48 hours for the exam to be returned.
Students who wish to take paper-based
proctored exams should contact our office at (405) 744-5958 to schedule
their exam approximately one week before they need to take the exam.
They should then inform their instructor of their appointment date/time
and ensure that the instructor has submitted the exam to the Testing
Center at least 24-hours prior to the exam date as we are unable
to track down tests that have not arrive by the test time. The cost
for this paper-based exam is $15 for exams scheduled to last up to 2 hours and $15 per additional two-hour block. The cost must be paid by the student
at the time of the exam. There is no fee for paper-based exams for
OSU students with disabilities.

Non-OSU Instructors who wish to
allow their students to take paper-based exams at the
OSU Testing Center should drop off or mail the exam to
our center with the Proctored
Exam Cover Sheet at the

only be returned via US Mail. Students who need an exam
to be expedited must provide a pre-paid shipping envelope.

Internet-Based Exams
Instructors who wish to allow their
students to take internet exams at the OSU Testing Center
should provide the following information to testing.center@okstate.edu no
later than one week before the scheduled exam time.
- Software
required to complete the exam (e.g., Respondus lock
down browser, Blackboard, D2L, CourseCompass, MyMathLab)
- Location
where the required software can be obtained
- Software’s
installation procedure (Can be a link to web-based
instructions)
- Name
of the textbook being used (Many software programs,
such as CourseCompass, are specific to each textbook.)
- Course
Name / Number
- Student(s)
Name
- Date(s) exam will be given (Computer based exams
require a minimum 1-week advance notice for set-up.)
Additionally,
the instructor must send any necessary password(s) to
access the exam to testing.center@okstate.edu at
least 24 hours prior to the student’s
scheduled exam.
Students should contact the Testing Center
at (405) 744-5958 to schedule their exam approximately

course instructor has provided all technical information to the
OSU Testing Center at least one week prior to the exam
date. Students should also ask the instructor to provide
the password for access to the exam to the Testing Center
at least 24 hours prior to the exam.
