The SAT is a three-hour test measuring verbal and mathematical reasoning skills
that students have developed over time and skills they need in order to succeed
academically. Many colleges and universities use the SAT as an indicator of
a student’s readiness to do college-level work. The student’s SAT
scores are compared with those of other applicants and the accepted scores
at an institution, and may be used as a basis for awarding financial aid.
Sixty days must pass between each test. If you choose to test without sixty days elapsing, your score will be nullified.

The SAT is scored on a scale of 200-800,
and is broken into two sections: Verbal and Mathematical. The verbal section
consists of 78 questions and takes 75 minutes – two thirty-minute sections
and one fifteen-minute section. The math section includes 60 questions and lasts
75 minutes – also two thirty-minute sections and one fifteen-minute section.
Calculators are permitted but not required.
