Committee for the Assessment of General Education (CAGE)
CAGE History
In 1999, the Assessment Council appointed a sub-committee to focus on general education assessment. The Committee for the Assessment of General Education (CAGE) consists of faculty members from a variety of disciplines and colleges. Since 2000, CAGE has been collecting and assessing portfolios of student artifacts on a rotating cycle, covering areas including critical thinking, written communication, diversity, information literacy, and professionalism and ethics.
CAGE Mission Statement
CAGE is charged with developing and implementing a plan for assessing general education.
