Qualtrics Survey Platform - Tutorial Videos

University Assessment has created a collection of videos introducing new users to the Qualtrics Online Survey Platform. Current videos cover the basics of survey creation and administration from start to finish. Future videos will address specific features within Qualtrics as well as how to cultivate survey success and design. Survey Consultation

University Assessment facilitates many collaborative surveys across OSU campuses. Some surveys have been administered to small, department-specific groups while others have been administered to large, multi-campus populations. Topics range from gauging customer satisfaction and acquiring customer feedback to assessing diversity and engagement. University Assessment can provide consultation and assistance in the following areas of survey design and administration:

Survey Development – University Assessment can assist in the creation or fine-tuning of a survey instrument built to capture your needs; our team can also help input, design, and assist with the distribution of the survey in Qualtrics.

Data Collection – University Assessment can aid in determining a data collection period and managing survey opening/closing procedures (including providing assistance in drafting welcome and reminder email messages). Our staff can provide expertise regarding best practices for increasing survey response rates and assistance in monitoring the survey's progress throughout the data collection process.

Data Analysis – University Assessment can provide data analysis services from start to finish; such services includes data cleaning and merging and/or quantitative and qualitative analysis, when applicable.

Reporting of Results – University Assessment can provide assistance in generating comprehensive, aggregate reports that fit your needs. Such services include generating illustrative charts and graphs of quantitative data to show participant response percentages or other descriptive statistics; and providing qualitative analysis and reporting to identify trends in the frequency, attitude, and categorization of open-ended comments. Additionally, our staff can conduct psychometric and differential testing and reporting to provide information regarding how the data collected fit the survey structure/theory or how certain demographic groups responded to survey questions or factors.

Consultation Support

University Assessment also provides consultation and hands-on services to OSU academic programs and units by request. If you are interested in any of the following services and would like to meet with the assessment staff to discuss a possible collaboration, please contact us at the email above.

Program Outcomes Assessment

In support of efforts to improve student learning at the academic program level, University Assessment is happy to meet with program coordinators and/or department heads to discuss program improvement through the use of assessment techniques. Additionally, we are happy to provide support in strengthening the success and application of program assessment plans. This consultation service is especially helpful in conjunction with the Academic Program Review (APR) process and the annual reviews our assessment team conducts each academic year.

Grants and Proposals

University Assessment offers consultation for assessment needs during grant and proposal writing processes as well as re-accreditation. Our staff can work with your team to develop a strategic plan to assess the progress towards your goals, help you meet your funding agencies’ compliance guidelines, or consult on other aspects related to your particular needs.
