Accommodated Testing
The OSU Testing Center fulfills ADA requirements for students with disabilities needing accommodated testing. Examples may include the use of computer/assistive technology, extended time, Braille, reader, scribe, or use of separate testing rooms. Students needing accommodated testing must identify their needs prior to testing by providing documentation to:
Student Accessibility Services (SAS)
1202 W. Farm Road, 155 UHS
Stillwater OK, 74078
405-744-7116
accessibility@okstate.edu
Only students who have registered with SAS may schedule a Student Accessibility Services (SAS) Exam appointment (and receive their accommodations) at the OSU Testing Center. Students with accommodations should be aware that they are not required to test at the OSU Testing Center. It is the responsibility of OSU instructors to meet/provide students with their testing accommodations, and instructors are free to do so at other testing locations. The OSU Testing Center exists to help instructors facilitate this process by providing a testing location able to provide students their accommodations.
Accommodated Test Scheduling Information
It is a student's responsibility to schedule an appointment and to notify his/her instructor of the appointment at the OSU Testing Center so the instructor can submit test materials in advance. Students are required to schedule their test at least 24 hours in advance (it is recommended students schedule more than a week in advance), and students should inform their instructors of their appointments with plenty of time to allow their instructors to submit test materials to the OSU Testing Center at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
The OSU Testing Center enforces an appointment cancellation policy. Any OSU student who cannot make a scheduled appointment must cancel or reschedule by 5PM the DAY OF the appointment. Failure to contact the OSU Testing Center by this deadline will result in the student receiving a bursar account charge for the full cost of the appointment. This policy includes students registered for Student Accessibility Services (SAS) Exam appointments, as the SAS Office will not cover the cost of a missed appointment.
